Looking for album reviews, new artist features, song spotlights.

“Jacob takes great pains to give his voice all of the unforgettable softness needed to make sure that he can express these very personal and very thought out situations that he couldn’t be more consumed by, allowing them to just strike like the tiniest hammer.

Album Info: After releasing two albums in the UK, where he was signed to Rough Trade by founder Geoff Travis (The Smiths, Antony and the Johnsons) and Echo (Bat for Lashes, Ray Lamontagne), Jacob Golden releases his U.S. debut The Invisible Record on his own imprint Zero Integrity Record. It’s the follow up to Revenge Songs, the album Mojo Magazine described as" The most gorgeous breakup record since Beck's Sea Change.” A meticulously crafted DIY record of off-kilter folk songs, the album was lovingly recorded by Jacob in a Portland basement and a Sacramento garage. Running his voice and guitar through amps and old speakers, whittling those performances down until they sounded just right. The vibe is a blissed-out and sad lullaby.

Limited Edition CD:

The Invisible Record is available as a handmade cd edition limited to 500 copies The cd contains a hand drawn screen printed cover by Sarah Golden of The Battle of Land and Sea.

“The album is the most haunting thing I've heard for a long time, there's nothing that breaks it up, the emotion in it is so incredible in places I got the chills.”- Ben Christophers (Bat For Lashes)

“Always been a big fan of Jacob's albums, this might be my new favorite”- Scott Hansen (Tycho)
